Louisville Head Coach Jeff Brohm named Bear Bryant Awards Coach of the Week
HOUSTON, Nov. 21, 2023 – Louisville Head Coach Jeff Brohm is this week’s Bear Bryant Awards Fan Vote Favorite Coach of the Week presented by Accenture. Coach Brohm receives the honor following his Cardinals 38-31 win over Miami. With the win, the Cardinals moved to 10-1 on the season and clinched their first ACC title game berth in school history. They’ll face Florida State on December 2 in the conference championship.
Trailing by five after three quarters, Louisville needed a late rally to beat the Hurricanes and senior quarterback Jack Plummer delivered. With just over 4 minutes remaining in a tied game, Plummer hit Kevin Coleman on a 58-yard touchdown pass to secure the lead and ultimately the win.
In his first season coaching his alma mater, Brohm has led the Cardinals to a top-10 ranking. They’ll host the 6-5 Kentucky Wildcats on Saturday before their matchup with the Seminoles for the ACC title.
